Camping Info

Keefer Lake Wilderness Resort is a remote rustic campsite. Most of our campsites are on the waterfront. Those used to "camping" in the crowdfests down in the Okanagan Valley will appreciate these spacious and lawn covered campsites. It is our intention to maintain the camp in an eco friendly state. Future improvements are being planned with a Green philosophy. With your help and cooperation we can all make Keefer Lake Wilderness Resort a model of eco tourism. Peace, relaxation, inspiration and communion with nature is here in abundance.
Please consider your impact so that every visitor may have a safe and memorable camping experience. Distances from amenities, high fuel costs, insurance costs, site facilities maintenance, handling and removal of your garbage are a few of the cost factors here. These factors are reflected in an increase to the daily per site camping fee for lakeside camping sites (the first increase in years).

Please advise us in advance if you plan to have a large group (more than 12 persons) or celebratory event. Keefer Lake is an ideal location for fishing derbies, company retreats, school groups, weddings, family reunions etc.

Water front sites: $18.80 per day (plus 5% GST) per camping unit (camper, trailer, tent RV) for 2 persons
                    Additional fees applicable for larger units requiring more space...

                   * Children 10 and under free

We offer:
                     * 30 generous campsites which can accommodate the largest RV's.
                     * hot showers and wash house. ( $2.00/ shower)
                     * each site has a picnic table and cooking fire ring
   * Horse Shoe pit and kid's playground
                     * Pit toilets aka. outhouse
                     * boat launch and dock
                     * water taps
                     * ask at the office about the miles of hiking, biking, riding or ATV trails
                        in the area

Hot Showers

* Out of consideration for all campers here, Please plan the use of generators from 11 am to 8 pm each day.

* HONDA generators recommended because they are the quietest or better yet try Solar panels and good batteries; We use them, they work...! C'mon this is supposed to be camping.

* We do not provide power hookups or sani dump !!!

A Note about MUSIC...

We all enjoy many different types of music. regular enjoyment of music may be a normal part of your every day lifestyle but...

A. This is PRIVATE PROPERTY. You DO NOT have permission to blast your music at other campers without permission from the owners of Keefer Lake Resort.

B. If you are seeking to recreate your favorite beer commercial or lost youth than we suggest Keefer Lake Resort may not be the place for you. A bar would be more appropriate for such activities.

C. If you would like to rent the camp for any large/ boisterous gathering than please advise us well ahead of your event. Minimum cost is $1000.00/day

This is a sensitive headwaters riparian zone for the Kettle River watershed. Please do not be of rude and dump RV sewage or gray water in the camp or along Keefer Lake road !!!
We will report polluters and if possible return your waste back to you.

** ATV/snowmobile operators are advised that for safety and dust reduction reasons the speed limit in the campground is dead slow (1st gear, minimal throttle) and riders must stay on trails or roadways. ATV operators must be legally permitted to operate their machines and are liable for their own actions, safety equipment and insurance.

Notice to ATV operators:

This area is being monitored by Environment Ministry officials with regards to environmental damage in Alpine and riparian areas caused by ATV users. Holmes Lake is NOT legally accessed by motor vehicles.
